The Baby Floor at The Children’s Room

Our specialised floor named the Tess Bear baby floor caters to children from the age of 3 months up until the child is ready to move on to pre nursery.

The baby floor prepares the child for pre nursery where they will begin learning to be more independent for example drinking from glasses and eating from china plates.

We operate this floor on a child-led approach where babies are allowed to sleep, wake and eat when they wish. For this purpose we use a specialist bed  called a ‘Dream Coracle’.

The Coracle is a small bed with low sides placed on the floor allowing children to crawl in and out when they choose.
