At around 18 months the children move into the bright and sunny top rooms which are a training ground to teach them the skills and independence necessary for a smooth transition into Nursery at around 2½.
The six areas of learning are introduced at this stage and we see a rapid acceleration of learning and development, especially in the area of language.
We start to encourage children to come upstairs independently from their parents, at around this age. Children in Pre-Nursery spend the last half an hour of the day downstairs in the main Nursery Rooms to familiarise themselves with the older children and their surroundings.
We firmly believe that the outdoors is important for your child’s growth. The garden at the nursery, and the adjacent park are part of the weekly life of all pre-nursery children.
