Liz Byatt

Liz is the founder and owner of The Children's Room.  She was born and brought up in Swansea and after spending eighteen years away returned with her husband and son. She trained at the Montessori Centre in London eighteen years ago and has worked in schools in London and the Far East. While living in Singapore she ran a school for two years.

She is very pleased to be bringing Montessori to Wales. The Children’s Room is an exciting project for her personally and her team.

Jo Khen

Jo has two teenage children. She graduated from Princess Christian College, Manchester after gaining an  N.N.E.B, R.S.H and college certificate. She worked as a nanny in London before becoming a mother. During this time she also ran a playgroup and studied the Montessori Method. She has been been on the supply list and has worked in various nurseries in Swansea. She is a school Governor at primary and secondary schools levels

Poornam McKeown

Poornam also trained at the Montessori Centre in London. She has worked with children for twenty years, in special education, Montessori education and as a yoga and meditation teacher. She has spent the past twelve years teaching yoga and meditation to adults and children at PadmaSamBhava Yoga centre in Llandeilo. She set up an English medium Montessori school for the Indian charity Sivananda Math in 1998 with nineteen girls. Today the school teaches between 200 – 300 children. Having experienced the merging of Montessori and yoga in India her passion is to do the same in Wales.

Natalie Agravante

Natalie graduated from University of Mindanao in the Philippines with a degree in commerce. Before coming to live in Swansea she worked in Singapore for 10 years as a live in nanny and mothers help. She loves being with children and especially doing creative activities. Natalie has successfully completed an NVQ level 2 in Childcare at Swansea College.
